Horses + Teens

Connection. Confidence. Growth.

Empowering Teens Through Purpose and Connection

Our Teen Therapeutic Horsemanship program is designed to support adolescents through one of the most formative—and often challenging—seasons of life. Through guided interaction with horses, teens build confidence, emotional awareness, and real-world skills in a safe, supportive environment.

It’s a hands-on, relationship-based experience where teens actively engage in caring for and working with horses—learning to communicate clearly, build trust through consistency, and take responsibility for another living being.

Horses are highly intuitive animals that respond to human emotion and behavior in real time. They provide immediate, honest feedback—
without judgment.

For teens who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm

  • Low confidence or self-esteem

  • Social challenges or difficulty connecting with peers

  • Behavioral or emotional regulation struggles

  • Life transitions or difficult circumstances

  • A desire for purpose, structure, and connection

No prior horse experience is necessary.

Working with horses helps teens:

  • Develop emotional awareness and self-regulation

  • Build trust and healthy boundaries

  • Improve communication skills

  • Increase confidence through skill-building

  • Experience calm, grounding, and connection

For many teens, this becomes a space where they feel seen, capable, and empowered.

A different kind of growth.

This isn’t a typical extracurricular activity. It’s an opportunity for teens to step away from screens, pressure, and expectations—and step into responsibility, connection, and confidence.
